Student Housing and Multicultural Living

Event Series

10.01.2013

WHEN: January 10th 2013

WHERE: Ludwigstraße 27, G212 (2nd floor, right across from our office)

WHAT: Since the summer term of 2012 we invite German and international students to share their experiences of everyday life at the university. The background of these talks is the internationalization policy and claim of our university, a claim that is based on the adoption of the “National Code of Conduct on Foreign Students at German Universities” that was passed by the “Conference of University Presidents” (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz) in 2009. Our university is thereby committed to supporting the integration of its international students both at the university and also in their social everyday life.

In groups of 15 to 20 German and international students we want to talk about living and studying together. For this purpose we have put together a number of questions and will pick one of them every time to serve as a motto of the discussion. We will use two discussion formats: at the beginning there will be a podium with student “experts” who will react to the questions from the audience, and then we will use the “fishbowl” method to allow all participants to join in.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining the event (ikberatung@lmu.de). We are very much looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your experiences.
