Living Abroad in Multicultural Settings: Benefits & Challenges!

07.06.2018 at 18:00

WHEN: Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at 6pm (start at 6.15pm)

WHERE: Ludwigstraße 27, room G212 (2nd floor)

WHAT:

In this intercultural talk we will be exchanging experiences and ideas about different forms of housing in multicultural settings in Germnany. Have you already been challenged by this topic in your student dorm, in shared flat or rented flat? What are the expectations of landlords, of main tenants or of flatmates? Are they communicated openly? What conflicts could arise due to certain (cultural) misunderstandings and how could one deal with it? What are the benefits of living in a multicultural setting?

We will be dealing with these and many other questions in our talk and try to find out different approaches how to live and study successfully in multicultural surroundings.

Snacks and drinks will be provided. Just bring yourself, your thoughts, your problems and ideas and we will have a great evening together. And don't be shy, if your German is not as good yet. Nobody will have to hide in this familiar and intercultural environment!
