WHAT:
Being homesick, longing for family, friends and your hometown - who hasn't been there yet? Sometimes everything back home seems bo be better and brighter. But also out of reach.
Together we want to bring your home to the LMU:
Bring anything that reminds you of home: Food, pictures, objects - Tell us your story about it and try to explain what you miss the most in Germany.
What is different from your home culture? What problems did you face after you arrived?
In this intercultural talk you will have the possibility to get to know how other international students deal with similar situations and learn some other coping strategies. Furthermore you will get tips and hints e.g. about where you could get further (professional) help or about how you could arrange your everyday life in a positive way in Germany.
Snacks and drinks will be provided. Just bring yourself, your thoughts, your problems and ideas and we will have a great evening together. And don't be shy, if your German is not as good yet. Nobody will have to hide in this familiar and intercultural environment!
